Fire Protection and Life Safety

Overview

Fire alarm system based upon the occupancy of the building. Generally the legal requirement for a fire alarm system relates to the protection of life. In general fire alarm systems are installed to:

  • To provide for the safety of occupants in buildings, and to make provision for their evacuation or refuge during a fire or other emergency.
  • To provide fire department with early notification of a fire in a building and to direct them to the area of risk,
  • To reduce loss of property; the property may have considerable intrinsic value and the insurers either require a fire detection system or may incentives its use,
  • To reduce building damage; the building may be unoccupied for periods where equipment is still powered and the owner wishes to ensure that if anything goes wrong the fire department is called to the scene in a timely manner. Sometimes fire detection and alarm systems are used to compensate for structural fire protection shortcomings or to give special cover for items of high value,
  • To reduce the amount of business lost,
  • Minimize risk to the public who attend unfamiliar properties. It is often a mandatory requirement by the Building Codes.

Whatever the reason, an automatic fire detection and alarm system generally provides a network of manual call points, heat and smoke detectors, and alarm warning devices over the area covered. Once activated, the devices send signals to the fire alarm panel which in turn activates audio and visual devices including lights and sounders. The system may also send its signal to an offsite monitoring station

Fire Detection and Alarm System

An automatic fire alarm system is designed to detect the unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion. In general, a fire alarm system is classified as either automatically actuated, manually actuated, or both. Automatic fire alarm systems are intended to notify the building occupants to evacuate in the event of a fire or other emergency, report the event to an off-premises location in order to summon emergency services, and to prepare the structure and associated systems to control the spread of fire and smoke

Fire Suppression and Extinguishing

Providing computer systems and data centres with risk-appropriate protection means suppressing fires quickly and effectively, without leaving residue. Gas Suppression System deprives the fire source of heat energy, which quickly extinguishes the fire. This products is not electrically conductive, and requires less space to store extinguishing agent supplies.

Very Early Smoke Detection & Alarm System(VESDA)

VESDA very early warning aspirating smoke detection solutions with continuous air sampling provide the earliest possible warning of an impending fire hazard. VESDA ASDs buy the critical time needed to investigate an alarm and initiate an appropriate response to prevent injury, property damage or business disruption. VESDA detectors have multi-level warnings and a wide range of sensitivity that does not degrade or change over time, so even minute levels of smoke can be detected before a fire has time to escalate.

Public Address/ Automatic & Voice Evocation System

A public address system (PA system) is an electronic amplification system with a mixer, amplifier and loudspeakers, used to reinforce a sound source. Simple PA systems are often used in small venues such as school auditoriums, churches, and small bars. PA systems with a larger number of speakers are widely used in institutional and commercial buildings, to read announcements or declare states of emergency. Intercom systems, which are often used in schools, also have microphones in each room so that the occupants can reply to the central office.

Nurse Calling System

A nurse call button is a button found around a hospital bed that allows patients in health care settings to alert a nurse or other health care staff member remotely of their need for help. When the button is pressed, a signal alerts staff at the nurse's station, and usually, a nurse or nurse assistant responds to such a call. Some systems also allow the patient to speak directly to the staffer; others simply beep or buzz at the station, requiring a staffer to actually visit the patient's room to determine the patient's needs.

The call button provides the following benefits to patients:

  • Enables a patient who is confined to bed and has no other way of communicating with staff to alert a nurse of the need for any type of assistance.
  • Enables a patient who is able to get out of bed, but for whom this may be hazardous, exhausting, or otherwise difficult to alert a nurse of the need for any type of assistance.
  • Provides the patient an increased sense of security The call button can also be used by a health care staff member already with the patient to call for another when such assistance is needed, or by visitors to call for help on behalf of the patient.

Emergency and Exit Lighting System

Central battery system based emergency lighting is ideal for larger projects.
There are many reasons for this, the main ones being:

Integrated Emergency lighting

Static inverter type central battery systems are able to power suitable unmodified mains luminaries at full power during both mains healthy and mains failed conditions. On projects with large open areas, particularly those with high mounting heights, the use of mains fittings operating at full output in emergency mode can greatly reduce the number of emergency luminaries required. The use ofsuitable standard unmodified mains luminaries also has aesthetic advantages in many applications.

Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression Solutions

According to a statistic reported by the National Restaurant Association, over half of all restaurant fires originate from food prep equipment. These types of fires are what we aim to knock out with kitchen hood suppression systems. To protect your restaurant and its occupants, it’s crucial to ensure that your kitchen hood fire suppression system is installed and maintained properly.

PNG /LPG Gas Detection and Alarm System

PNG / LPG Gas detectors. With Government’s Safety Norms getting strict day-by-day related to fire hazards in kitchen areas of Hotels, Restaurants,  cafeterias, etc., We offer the best solutions about taking safety measures for detecting LPG /PNG / combustible gases far earlier before they get converted into major fire hazards

Water Leak Detection System

Water leak detection system is used to detect water, chemical, oil and refrigerant gas leaks. The heart of the Water leak detection system is the water leak detector cable. The cable itself is the sensor. Every centimeter of rugged, fire rated cable is sensitive to water and when water comes into contact with the cable, even a few milliliters, the system is able to detect the leak AND report the location. The detection cable can be installed in any length from a few meters in a drip tray to hundreds of meters around the perimeter of an office area. Typical applications in office buildings include the monitoring of fan-coil units around the edge of the building office floors, detectors surrounding the central utility core on each floor of the building and dedicated monitoring of leaks in electrical switch gear rooms, server rooms, network communications, etc.
